Turkey burgers are a really easy to prepare for a weeknight meal especially because they can be prepared the day before. In fact, they taste better because all the flavors from spices and meet have a chance to combine well.
Sharing 2 different styles here, ingredients different but grilling is the same!
Traditional Turkey Burgers
1.3 lbs of turkey meat (1 package)
1/2 -1 tsp of pink salt
1/2 tsp of garlic salt
1/2 tsp of red paprika
1 shallot (minced)
Mexican Style Turkey Burgers
1.3 lbs of turkey meat
1/2 tsp of cumin
1/2 tsp of chili powder
1/2 tsp of garlic poweder
1/2 -1 tsp of salt
For both versions, combine all ingredients and form burger patties. If time allows, let it stand for at least 1 hour on the room temperature before grilling. You can also refrigerate overnight.
It is really important not to overcook turkey meat since it is by nature dry already. I usually grill on the first side the longest and then after its flipped, maybe another 3 min.
Serve in a bun, wrap or romaine lettuce. Try my delicious Greek yogurt spread with this, the flavors go so well!
I hope you love these as much as I do. If you make them let me know!
