Homemade Granola


Prep Notes

Making your own granola is easier then you think. Once you have all the ingredients, it's really simple.


I used gluten free rolled oats, different types of seeds & nuts, honey as a sweetener and one tiny chocolate suprose! I also added some goji berries for a little chewy treat as well as some flax seeds to boost up the nutrition.


This granola is high in fiber, protein and good fats. 


It is perfectly sweet to be eaten with just plain greek yogurt.



Yields

Ingredients

1/2 cup of gluten free rolled oats

1 TBS of pumpkin seeds

1 TBS of sunflower seeds

1 TBS of crushed almonds

1 TBS of goji berries

1/2 TSP of cinnamon

1 TBS of Flax Seeds

1 TBS of dairy free chocolate chips

1 TBS of honey

Directions


Mix all ingredients except honey and chocolate chips and lay the mixture out in a 8x8 sheet pan. Bake at 375 for about 10 min (oats should be golden brown and nuts and seeds should look roasted). 

Take the pan out, add honey and chocolate chips and mix to combine. 

Put it back in the oven for another 5 min until chocolate chips start to melt but not melted completely. 

Let it cool for couple hours. At this point granola will be firm and stuck at the bottom of the pan. Use a knife or any flat kitchen tool to scrape the granola out. Store in the air tight container in the pantry and enjoy over the next few days.
