Homemade Coconut Almond Chocolate

Making your own chocolate bars has never been easier! This really easy, only few ingredients treat will have you ask for more ;)

I used almonds in my recipe but you can also use walnuts. Another great addition would be some unsweetened dried fruit (that would add little extra chewiness if you like your chocolate that way).

Cooking Time



1 Bar (6 servings)


2 TBS of Cacao powder 

1TBS of Chia Powder 

2 TBS of almond butter

1/2 cup of coconut butter

8 dates

2 TBS of coconut sugar

Topping: shredded coconut & almonds


Combine all the ingredients using a blender (I use Vitamix). It's okay if the mixture isn't smooth and you can see little bits and pieces of dates (makes its that much more fun!)

Take a piece of parchment paper and spread the mixture thin. Add some crushed almonds on top as well as coconut. 

Put it in the freezer over night and in the morning, take it out and break it up in two bite pieces. 

Store in an air tight container in the freezer until ready to enjoy!
